Announcing the DMG Scholarship program and GDC Convoy!
DMG members! Interested in attending the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco in 2017? Are you a game developer, artist, designer, or maker looking for friendly pack of pals to enjoy the world's largest professional game industry event with? We are thrilled to announce the third annual DMG Convoy to GDC!
Already have your pass? You can still be part of the Convoy. Join our #gdc-convoy-2017 Slack channel for activity planning, buddy system, transit coordination, food recommendations, travel tips + more.
GDC has once again donated 25 All-Access Conference passes (each valued at $2,099 USD) for DMG members to attend GDC 2017.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis online from November 24, 2016 until all passes are allocated. DMG volunteers review applications as they come in, and approve and notify applicants who meet the eligibility criteria within a few days. Once all 25 passes have been allocated, this form will close.
If you don't meet our eligibility criteria, check out some other GDC scholarship programs (including one organized by our friends at Pixelles in Montreal!).
Travel costs (airfare, accommodations, food, etc.) are your responsibility. We realize this can be a significant barrier to participation, but as a tiny non-profit, we are unable to provide additional financial support.
GDC will take place Feb 27-March 3, 2017 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. It’s the world’s largest and longest-running game industry event, featuring over 400 lectures, panels, tutorials and round-table discussions on a comprehensive selection of game development topics. Take a look at the schedule and see what interests you!
